# Token Overview

Provides planned $GET parameters and utility, including fixed supply, usage-based distribution, burns, buybacks, staking, and governance.

$GET is the planned native utility token for the GetPaid ecosystem. It is intended to support the protocol's burn, buyback, staking, and governance designs.

{% hint style="warning" %}
$GET is planned and has not launched. The following parameters are planned, not deployed.
{% endhint %}

### Planned parameters

| Parameter       | Planned value                                     |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Name            | GetPaid                                           |
| Ticker          | $GET                                              |
| Token standard  | ERC-20                                            |
| Chain           | Robinhood Chain                                   |
| Supply          | 1,000,000,000 $GET                                |
| Decimals        | 18                                                |
| Presale         | None                                              |
| Team allocation | None                                              |
| Minting         | Disabled after deployment                         |
| Burn path | Protocol buyback followed by transfer to `0xdead` |
| Distribution    | 100% via usage                                    |

The planned supply is fixed at 1 billion $GET. The proposed burn mechanism would remove purchased tokens from circulation. It would not introduce additional minting.

### Intended protocol role

$GET is designed as a protocol utility asset. Its proposed functions are:

* **Burn:** a portion of routed fees may purchase $GET for permanent removal.
* **Buyback:** a portion of routed fees may purchase $GET for the protocol treasury.
* **Staking:** users may lock $GET for planned protocol benefits.
* **Governance:** holders may influence selected protocol parameters and treasury decisions.

This proposed design does not establish a live market or any investment outcome.

### Current status

No token contract is deployed, and no active token distribution exists. GetPaid has not been audited.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://whitepaper.getpaid.family/usdget-economics/token-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
